My work is built around a question that has followed me from academia into coaching:

Why can intelligent, capable people know better—and still not respond the way they want to when it matters?

My doctoral research in philosophy explored empathy, emotion, moral psychology, and the processes that shape how we understand ourselves and others.

What became increasingly clear to me was that understanding alone is not enough.

We can know what we should say and still hesitate.

We can recognize a pattern and still repeat it.

We can be highly capable in one area of our lives and find ourselves second-guessing our judgment in another.

The challenge is not necessarily a lack of intelligence, confidence, or self-awareness. It is learning how to access what we know when emotion, pressure, assumptions, and familiar patterns influence how we interpret and respond.

That is the foundation of Self-Intelligence Coaching.

I developed Self-Intelligence as a practical application of my research—bringing together self-awareness, perspective-taking, and intentional action to help people understand what is driving their responses, read situations more accurately, and make choices that better reflect what they actually know, value, and want.

My work today brings that framework beyond academia and into real life: relationships, communication, decision-making, boundaries, leadership, and the moments when how we respond matters most.

Because the goal isn't simply to know yourself better.

It's to use what you know when it counts.
